Chapter 1: The Importance of Leadership
Leadership is crucial to organizational success because
it sets the tone for the entire team. A good leader can
inspire their teams to work work productively, be more
creative, and achieve better results. This chapter will
explore the importance of leadership in modern
organizations and how it impacts everything from
employee morale to the bottom line.
An aspect of leadership that is often a hallmark of
greatness is the ability to clearly define a vision that others
willingly follow. It is said that leaders are born out of
necessity, and I take that to mean that if situations arise
where leadership is needed, someone steps in and fills that
need, taking it upon themselves to be what is needed for
those who need it.
I've discovered that many are afraid to lead because
they have not yet learned to harness their personal power
and lean into the moment, but they are very willing to
follow. It is in this vacuum or void of leadership that
individuals willing to put their hearts, names, reputations,
and their lives on the line in critical moments that leaders
