The language we use to describe our work and
experiences has a significant impact on how we approach
them. As leaders, developing a vocabulary that supports
and sustains us, enabling us to overcome challenges and
seize opportunities with confidence and conviction is
essential. So, start documenting your achievements and
setbacks today, and develop a language that empowers
you to achieve your goals and fulfill your leadership
potential.
This informs us that as leaders, your words matter. I'm
reminded of the saying the most important conversation
you will ever have in your life is the one you have with
yourself.
We will either talk ourselves into success or out of
success by our self-talk. Therefore, it is important that the
vocabulary we use to describe ourselves, our successes,
and our setbacks are all rooted in the conversations we
have about who we believe we are. Leaders pay close
