realm of leadership, drive innovation, act with a sense of
urgency, and live on the hilltop of integrity.
Leadership can be seen as a black hole or a type of
Bermuda triangle where you can easily get lost, swallowed
up, and never seen or heard from again. It is also a place
where mysticism resides, where legends are born,
mysteries are solved, and innovation given a chance to
thrive! This paradox of leadership can be confusing to
some while bringing clarity to others. Having a clear
purpose and vision will lessen the uncertainty many will
face in this role and can lead them to greater success along
the way.
Star Trek had this saying, “we will go where no man
has gone before.” Leaders understand that for goals to be
met, they must be willing to travel to distant places that are
beyond what others can see. Yes, this is the most fearful
element of leadership, but well worth the journey when
you embark upon it. Leadership will test your fortitude,
drive, intellect, and integrity. Knowing this and yet being
willing to go all in is worthy of note. I believe it takes an
exceptional person to lead, and an extraordinary person to
lead with integrity.
