leadership and work to mitigate them. Bias can come in
many forms, including unconscious bias, which refers to
the attitudes and stereotypes that affect our judgments and
decisions without our awareness. A leader who is aware of
their biases can actively work to counteract them and make
more conscious focused decisions. By actively working to
mitigate their personal biases and promote wider access
leaders can inspire teams to be more creative and achieve
better results.
In addition, leaders should actively work to create a
culture of inclusion by fostering open communication,
encouraging perspectives that challenge us, and by
providing opportunities for expanded growth and
